way back when (year 2014)

My daughter has been a big fan of Chinese Food. The one we have in our town is the best buffet/restaurant. We've eaten somewhere else but I always find myself craving the one that we have here.  We love the location, the owners, the workers and the food except it's literarily hot inside.  I mean, it's worse when it's summer.  Oh well, the fact that the service is good and their foods' good, it shouldn't matter. Anyways, speaking of service, my son is so fond of watching the waitresses.  I just love watching him.

Anyways. There was a show that's called "Ni Hao, Kai-lan".  It's one of Nickelodeon's cartoon show.  My daughter used to watch this show before and she learned a few Chinese words like "Kai Xin".  Since then, she started asking me if we can go eat Kai Xin food.  And I am like, "what in world are you saying? (It has to be Chinese. Duh! )"  I had no clue what she was talking about.  Back then, she was only three and I can barely understand her words.  She talks a lot and catches almost everything she sees on the screen.  Until I went through her book about Ni Hao, Kai-lan, and I finally got it figured out what she was trying to say.  Kai Xin means Happy.  So basically, to her, Chinese Food is Happy Food.
